Specialty Show & Temperament Test
June 13-14, 2026 | Bend, Oregon
Our host, KT Brooks, is a long-time club member and Hovawart enthusiast. We look forward to the event just as she looks forward to having all of you visit her beautiful part of the country.
There is some lodging information below. The show will be just north of the city at 20390 Rogers Rd., Bend, OR.
We will hold a Meet & Greet on Friday, June 12, for those of us arriving the night before. (Also, details to come.)
We hope KT will convince her son to drive one of his Sammitch Food Trucks over from Eugene so we can eat well on site over the weekend!
As always, the event will be a great way to meet other Hovawarts and their two-legged friends. It also allows the club to evaluate our Hovawarts and---hopefully!---move some into the breeding pool.
After studying and shadowing our colleagues in the German Hovawart Club (the RZV) our club president, Matthew Douthat, passed the judges' exam last summer at an event outside Leipzig, Germany. He will be judging this event, and we look forward to seeing all the excellent dogs at the show!
*Note*
The Temperament Testing will be conducted on Saturday, June 13 with Conformation on Sunday, June 14. And don't forget your dog's pedigree! We will record your participation on it.
