- Spring 2009 Show Report
Our spring shows in Bethlehem, NH and Aurora, IL just took place and all impressions are still fresh! Before I’ll give you all the details on the shows let me tell you that both shows were a huge success!!
In total we had 24 dogs starting in the conformation show and 13 dogs in the Temperament Test! This is a huge number for a spring event!
There were many young dogs starting and this year we also had many new club members joining us. For most of the handlers it was the first time in the ring and all of them did a great job in presenting their dogs. It was a real pleasure to see how well these young teams did!! We also had some last-minute deciders who originally just wanted to come and watch. And none of them did regret joining us and showing the dog.
The judge was impressed about the quality of our North American dogs and about how well they behaved. He also liked the friendly and familiar environment/atmosphere. In Europe there is no Spayed/Neutered-class and no Puppy-class and he liked the fact that we do have these classes and are therefore able to include everybody.
We all had a great time, and I would like to use this opportunity to thank the judge, Mr.Michael Kunze, once again! He did a wonderful job!
I would also like to thank his wife Gabi, who took pictures of each attending dog on both days, and she also helped out as a volunteer for the Temperament Test.
And last but not least I would like to send out a humongous “THANK YOU!!” to our hosts, Alecia Loveless & Christina Ferraro in Bethlehem, NH and Karen Ostermeier in Aurora, IL. The hosts were very welcoming and everything was just perfectly prepared when we got to the show sites! The club would not be able to host shows without dedicated members as our hosts are! You guys did an awesome job!!! We all very much appreciate all the effort and time you put into the shows, this was amazing!!
We also would like to thank all attending teams! Although we did spread out the shows geographically, some still had a very long trip! It was so nice seeing all of you again and especially meeting new club members and their dogs! We all had fun and had a great time!!
