As part of out effort to support the Hovawart breed in the North America, HCNA maintains a Hovawart rescue. While we do not have a facility to house and care for Hovawarts, we work proactively to bring interested families together with Hovawarts that find themselves in need of a new home. Rather than conducting the adoption ourselves, we work in cooperation with persons or organizations that have the dog to connect them with people who are looking to adopt a Hovawart. We also assist in the evaluation of potential homes and in assisting the parties in facilitating the transfer of the dog to its new home.
