MALE HOVAWART AVAILABLE
Tobi is a six-year-old well-trained Hovawart that has developed some behavioral issues as a result of tragic changes
in his family. As a result, his family needs to place him in a new home. An appropriate home for Tobi
would include someone who is experienced with training a dominant dog and would not include children. In spite
of his problems, Tobi is a true hero.
If you feel you might have the right home for Tobi, please read his entire story below and contact
his current owner directly.
While HCA is providing this information on our website, Tobi’s adoption is directly between his current owner and
the new owner. We make no representations as to Tobi’s temperament or appropriateness for any given home. As his
story clearly indicates, Tobi does have a bite history that should be taken into account by anyone interested in
adopting him. There are members within HCA who have offered to individually provide guidance in retraining Tobi
separate from any involvement they may have with HCA.

2007 SPRING SHOW RESULTS
The Hovawart Club of America held it's spring show on May 12-13, 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri.
We had 11 dogs in attendance at the show, and 3 of the dogs successfully passed the temperament test.
We had the honor of welcoming Mr. Jacky Touron from France as our judge for the show.
Mr. Touron did a great job of judging the show, and he also gave an interesting speech about how to judge the Hovawart breed. We thank Mr. Touron for sharing his expertise.
We also wish to acknowlege the contributions of Mr. John Rutkowski and Mrs. Hélène Dandurand.
Mr. John Rutkowski is a former President of our club, and he judged the temperament test at this show.
Mrs. Hélène Dandurand is the owner of Fakir de LaVillaRoy and a profesional translator, and she agreeded to translate all papers and comments from the French judge during the weekend.
The club owes both of them a special thank you for making the show successful.
